General Information

How can I obtain pricing and place an order?

LONEPINE was created by a pro photographer, exclusively for pro photographers (sorry, we do not sell directly to the public). We operate on a membership system, so to access pricing and place an order, you will need to apply for membership via our registration page. Your chosen username and password will be emailed to you and once your application has been approved, you will be able to login.

What payment options do you offer?

We accept payment via bank transfer and credit card (using stripe). Orders must be paid for upfront and production will not commence until your payment has been received.

How can I view your products?

Studio sample albums can be ordered at a discounted rate of 20%. We also offer a free test print service to approved members. Please email up to four images (8″x10″ size) along with your postal address. Additionally, we are more than happy to meet with you over a coffee and show you some samples if you’re based in Brisbane and surrounds.

General Album Information

What is a spread and what is a minimum number of spreads in an album?

A spread is equal to 2 sides. The minimum album size is 20 spreads (or 40 sides). The maximum number of spreads is 45 (or 90 sides). If you would like to order less than the minimum, it will be the same price as our 20 spread album.

Do you offer studio samples at a discounted rate?

You betcha! Studio samples are at a discounted rate of 20% off the price of an album and you can order these via our online order form. Cover embellishments are not included in the discounted price. The only difference between a full price album and a Studio album is that we deboss ‘STUDIO SAMPLE’ on the back of the album. Studio samples are available in all three sizes (8×8, 10×10 and 12×12). There is no limit to how many you can order per year.

Can I have my studio logo debossed or foiled on an album?

Sure! You can have your logo debossed or foiled on any full price album. You can purchase a studio die (up to 8cm x 6cm) at the time of ordering any full price album – simply select this option on our order form. We accept vector files only (AI and EPS format), however we may be able to work with a high resolution JPG. If unsure, please get in touch. Please note that any files supplied to us will need to be in the exact size that you wish them to appear on the album cover.

Can I supply my own custom artwork to personalise an album cover?

You sure can! Like studio logos, we accept vector files only (AI and EPS format), however we may be able to work with a high resolution JPG. Please note that any files supplied to us will need to be in the exact size that you wish them to appear on the album cover.

Can I get a discount for ordering multiple copies of an album?

No. Each album uses the same amount of materials and labour, so we are unable to offer a discount for multiple copies.

Will you release other album styles?

We have big things planned for LONEPINE, which we can’t quite fill you in on yet, however if you sign up to our mailing list, you’ll be the first to know what and when they will be released!

Do you offer mini albums?

Yes! We offer 6×6 album minis, which are a duplicate of the main album (layouts and cover). These are a flat price and must be ordered at the same time as a main album.

Can you send me a swatch kit of available cover options?

Yes! Swatch kits will be available to purchase for your studio shortly. Stay tuned.

Album Design + Layout Information

Can I provide my own printed spreads?

No, we cannot guarantee albums that have been printed from external labs. We believe our printing is exceptional and invite you to try our test print service if you would like to check the quality.

Can you design my album layouts?

Great question! We do not offer this service… yet. Watch this space.

How should I supply my album layouts?

Please refer to our album layout guidelines in the members area of our website.

How can I upload my album layouts?

We accept album layouts via Dropbox or Google Drive. Please upload your files and paste the folder link into our online order form. If you are placing multiple orders at one time, please place the files in separate folders so we can differentiate your layouts. We will check the files against the information you have submitted in your order form to ensure we have received the correct number of files.

How should I name my files?

Naming your files correctly is extremely important as your album spreads are printed and bound in sequential order. We recommend using a number at the beginning or end of your file name and ensure each number is two digits. i.e.

Do you check/colour correct my layouts prior to printing?

As the photographer, it is your responsibility to check images and layouts supplied to us to ensure they’re of an acceptable quality, prior to sending through to us. Whilst we will do our best to pick up any errors, we will not accept responsibility for any issues due to poor image quality, alignment or layout. We ask that you thoroughly check all images and layouts before submitting to us. Additionally, we do not colour correct your images and expect that the images in the layouts delivered to us are print ready images.

Can I make changes to an order once I've submitted it?

If you need to make a change or have spotted an error within your layouts, get in touch with us as soon as humanly possible. If you have contacted us prior to your order going to print, we will be able to accept a revised file from you. If your album has already gone to print, it will be possible to replace a spread before binding, but there will be a surcharge involved, at the discretion of LONEPINE.

Production, Shipping + Returns

How long can I expect to wait for an album once my order has been placed?

Because our albums are handmade, on average, you can expect your order within 15-20 working days (exc. delivery), once payment has been received. Minor flaws or inconsistencies may cause an album to be rejected however we will maintain communication should this rare occasion occur.

Do you offer a rush service?

Sorry, no. In order to ensure our products are of the highest standard possible, we do not offer a rush service at this time.

How will I receive my album?

Each album will be packaged in a calico slip and placed in a kraft box (both unbranded). We will soon offer timber presentation boxes that can be added on at the time of ordering.

How much is shipping?

For orders within Australia, shipping is free. For international orders, shipping is calculated P.O.A. When placing an order via our online order form, the shipping price will not be displayed in the total, however it will be added to your invoice.

Can you drop ship an album directly to my client?

Sorry, we do not offer drop shipping at this time.

Can I return an album?

All of our products are custom made to order and we check to ensure quality is met before sending out to you. In the unlikely event of a faulty album, returns are at the discretion of LONEPINE and will only be accepted by prior arrangement from LONEPINE.
